The 2015 Conference on Work Relating to CGS Students Affairs held

The 2015 Conference on Work Relating to Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) Student Affairs was held in Xi’an March 17 to 20, 2015. About 600 representatives from 29 provincial education departments and 276 Chinese universities attended the conference. Officials from Department of International Cooperation & Exchanges and Department of Finance, Ministry of Education (MOE), China Scholarship Council (CSC), Education Department of Shaanxi Province and Xi’an Jiaotong University delivered speeches at the conference.


In her speech, Dr. Liu Jinghui, Secretary-General of CSC, reviewed the key points of 2015 National Conference on Work Relating to International Education Affairs as well as CSC work in 2014 before presenting the CSC work plan for 2015. Mr. Fang Jun, Deputy Director-General of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of MOE, presented a keynote speech on the Foreign Affairs of Education. Ms. Tian Lulu,Director from Department of International Cooperation & Exchanges and Ms. Xu Wei, Deputy Director from Department of Finance explained the CGS-related policies. 17 speakers from Chinese universities including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Xi’an Jiaotong University and Huazhong University of Science & Technology shared their experience on admission, administration, international program construction and alumni work of CGS students.
